This classic Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club wedding was picture perfect, right down to the beautifully executed white, blush, and gold DIY details. Remember Charlene and Chris from their San Juan Capistrano engagement session? These two kind souls met at a high school summer program, dated long distance for a few years, reunited in San Diego, and are now married!
The gorgeous summer day started at Charlene and Chris’s townhouse. It was sunny and temperatures were rising, as Chris and his groomsmen gathered in their living room. Upstairs in the master suite, Charlene and her ladies were getting pampered by team Beauty by Stacey. The bridesmaids dressed in short blush chiffon dresses from Ann Taylor, and gathered around Charlene to help her don a custom made lace top and BHLDN tulle skirt overlayed on a gown from Watters Wtoo. Charlene’s plan was to wear the tulle skirt for the ceremony and then remove it for the reception giving her more dancing ability later in the day. Her cathedral length veil was just stunning and perfectly accented this classically-styled affair.
Chris and Charlene chose to do a first look at a nearby community center called the Ranch House where we found a small copse of olive trees and a field of blooming pink flowers soaking up the bright sunshine. We then transitioned to the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club for bridal party photos where white and blush anemone and peony bouquets stole the show. Chris and his groomsmen looked sharp in their classic-meets-modern black suits.
At Chris and Charlene’s ceremony at Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club, the gazebo overgrown with ivy was a show-stopper. We couldn’t get enough of the beauty and love surrounding Charlene and Chris for their celebration of marriage. In a sweet moment, Charlene and Chris offered flowers to each of their parents and said kind words to them, which was such a great way to honor their parents.
In the reception hall, clean white linens and gold chiavari chairs set the stage, and Charlene’s DIY centerpieces of peonies, tulips with candle-lit lanterns accented the classic style so artfully. After the first dances and speeches, we headed outside for some sunset portraits. And Charlene and Chris danced the night away surrounded by love from their family and friends. They were greeted by silver streamers for their grand exit
